Cori Loomis, J.D., McAfee & Taft
TOPIC: Legal Session
Cori is an Oklahoma City attorney with the law firm of McAfee and Taft. Her primary focus is on the representation of health care providers with a variety of transactional, compliance, and reimbursement issues. She graduated with special distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 1991 and with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1994. She has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Leadership in the Law Award from the Journal Record, being named one of the best healthcare attorneys in the nation by Chambers USA and being selected to the Oklahoma Bar Association’s leadership academy. She is also involved in a variety of charitable and civic activities.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
After attending the activity, the physician should be able to:
- Identify the key components of physician employment agreements, including compensation models, restrictive covenants, termination clauses, and benefits; and
- Recognize common areas of risk or misunderstanding in contracts and how they can impact professional and personal well-being; and
- Apply practical negotiation strategies when reviewing or entering into employment agreements at different career stages; and
- Evaluate when to seek legal or professional support in the contract process to protect both professional interests and patient care obligations.

Clark Jolley, J.D., CFP®, ChFC®, Northwestern Mutual
TOPIC: Finance Session
Clark is a longtime Oklahoma leader with a distinguished career in public service and finance. A former State Senator representing District 41 from 2004 to 2016, he held key leadership roles including Republican Whip, Assistant Majority Leader, and Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee. He later served as Oklahoma’s Secretary of Finance, Administration, and Information Technology and as Chairman of the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Today, Clark is a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual in Oklahoma City and serves on the Oklahoma Health Care Authority Board. A graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and the University of Oklahoma College of Law, he also teaches as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma Christian University and Mid-America Christian University. He and his wife live in Edmond with their four children.

Mary Clarke, MD, Stillwater Medical Physicians Clinic
TOPIC: Leadership Session
Dr. Mary Clarke is a board-certified family medicine physician in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she provides comprehensive primary care at Stillwater Medical Physicians Clinic and is affiliated with Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. With nearly three decades of clinical practice, Dr. Clarke has distinguished herself as leader in organized medicine, serving as a past president of the Oklahoma State Medical Association. In this role, she championed physician advocacy, strategic growth, and professional development across the state’s medical community. She is recognized for her ability to foster collaboration, guide physicians through change, and model patient-centered leadership both in clinical practice and in organizational governance. Dr. Clarke brings a wealth of experience in balancing clinical excellence with effective leadership, making her a trusted voice on navigating the evolving landscape of medical practice.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
After attending the activity, the physician should be able to:
- Differentiate informal leadership from positional authority and list three influence behaviors relevant to clinical teams; and
- Map stakeholders for a real practice challenge and identify at least two allies and one likely resistor to engage; and
- Compose a 90-second alignment “ask” that states the problem, shared aim, proposed next step, and a specific request; and
- Apply one technique to address in the moment pushback (e.g., “We tried that already”) while maintaining rapport; and
- Plan a 30-day micro-test (two concrete actions, owner, state date, and simple success metric) to improve a workflow in their setting.
